DETROIT – Jayden Daniels threw two touchdowns in a flawless performance Washington's dazzling rookieand the Commanders defeated the Detroit Lions 45-31 on Saturday night to succeed in the NFC championship game for the primary time since winning the Super Bowl 33 years ago.

“It’s a surreal moment,” Daniels said.

Daniels converted a fourth-and-3 from the Detroit 9 to increase a drive capped by Robinson's 2-yard touchdown run.

Three snaps after Daniels' TD throw to McLaurin, Goff overthrew his intended goal and Martin intercepted it and took it into the tip zone, giving the Commanders a 24-14 lead. Goff was hit on an interception return by linebacker Frankie Luvu and was evaluated for a concussion.

He was right there like an additional defender because he was in the way in which, so I talked and told him to get his [expletive] out of the way in which.”

Brown posted a screenshot of the piece in an Instagram story after Monday's game, where it appeared Ford made contact with him shortly before receiving Jayson Tatum's pass.

“I’ll bring Jayson back for that too,” Brown said with a grin. “I wasn't paying attention and he just comes out of nowhere with a left hook straight to the chest. I’ll get him back for that.”

Tatum also joked about the moment and expressed a bit of remorse.

“I didn’t realize how hard I hit him,” Tatum told reporters. “I've been training quite a bit currently.”
