Many people like to travel. But only just a few prefer to pack.

But travelers get help from an unlikely source.

“Hotels [are] It makes it easier for guests to get into their favorite activities without packing or planning in advance, ”said Henley Vazquez, CEO and co -founder of the travel agency for forums based in New York.

Some hotels offer travelers “for ages,” she said, but now more work with brands to make travelers available during their travels, she said.

“It was fun to see that more brands jump in the combination and work directly with hotels to supply the guests tailor -made products and experiences to make their stay something special,” she said.

1. Bulky sporting goods

Some travelers have difficulty finding time to work on vacation. But for others there is simply not enough space for sports clothing.

The Amanyara Hotel from Turks and Caicos offers tennis balls and racket, similar to other hotels, but there are also tennis shoes for guests, said Vazquez.

She said that hotels in rustic environments offer some of the best advantages for guests.

“The brush Creek Ranch in Wyoming has a closet filled with weatherproof outer clothing for the guests once they reach the resort's private ski mountain,” she said.

The all-inclusive luxury resort offers pants, jackets, gloves, helmets, safety glasses, boots, skis and snowboards made by the French brand Rossignol. its website.

Vazquez said Grazed generations of the British monarchy.

A representative of the inn announced CNBC Travel that the guests have access to a “loan closet cabinet” who is equipped with Barbour boots and waterproof jackets that can carry the guests for outdoor activities such as riding, hiking and cycling.

For guests who prefer to bring their own fitness clothing, the Thompson Denver from Hyatt in Colorado has a daily laundry service for fitness clothing, says Vazquez.

“Now you only need to worry about packing a set,” she said.

2. Clothing and luxury handbags

Basic hair dryer and toilet kits have long been a staple in hotel rooms.

But some luxury hotels – such as the London Jumeirah Carlton Tower and the famous Passalacqua of the Lake Como – are luxurious amenities such as Dyson air weapons, the hair dry and curl.

Other hotels even have products outside the bathroom.

Travelers who stay in Four Seasons Resort Orlando near Walt Disney World can buy clothes as soon as they arrive via the brand's app from the brand. The guests of the hotel can initiate a “style chat” to discuss three looks: poolside chic, park hopper or night out.

A stylist curated and then delivers articles in the hotel room of the traveler, in which the guests can browse and buy after a press release from the hotel. Guests who decide not to make purchases have to pay a styling fee of $ 25, it said.

For handbag lovers, the Four Seasons Hotel Houston enables guests to rent luxurious handbags without additional costs through a partnership with the rental service Vivrelle.

The guests can rent a bag from the hotel's handbag collection – and exchange them. The rotating collection includes designer brands such as Prada and Gucci, he said.

Six Senses Vana in Dehradun, India, offers daily clothing or “Kurta” as known in India. Therefore, the guests don't have to be annoyed about packaging, says Vazquez. The hotel encourages guests to carry these flowing sets everywhere, according to its website, from restaurants via yoga spots outdoors.

According to its website, the hotel also offers slippers, crocs and wool caps for the guests.

3. Baby equipment

Babies and toddlers may be small, but their equipment – from high chairs to beginners – is usually not.

Hotels like the Fullerton Hotel Singapore have these articles and more, from toddler boot stools to sterilisators and baby baths its website.

Kimton Hotels, a brand of British -based Hospitality Group IHG, provides “family hairstyles” that are cold enough to keep breast milk. The brand also has articles with which the children's room from Outlet covers to toilet residues helps, according to the IHG website.

Shangri-La Singapore goes one step further. Guests who stay in topic -related suites and family deluxe rooms can access a pantry that is equipped with Stokke's strollers, children's beds, baby bouners, bathtubs and car seats. The pantry also has bottle sterilizers and warmer, a washing machine (and baby detergent) and a microwave for warm baby food and formula.

Guests who have no access to the pantry can receive some baby items on request.

“For example, the bottle warmers, bathing time toys and diapers will be arranged at no additional costs,” a representative of the Shangri-La told CNBC Travel.

4. Pet needs

The marketplace for pet travel price 2 billion US dollars in 2023 is anticipated to be expected increase to 4.6 billion US dollars by 2032According to the Travel Media Company Skift, citing Polaris Market Research.

Kimpton hotels offer pet beds, food and water bowls in addition to cramps, dog lines and cat scratches, which, in line with his website, don’t receive any additional load.

Although it doesn’t make it easier on your luggage, the Kimton Hotel Palomar in Beverly Hills even welcomes the pets to his nightly wine reception.

Some Ultra luxury hotels like Capella Singapore set out on the act. The hotel, which was 33th in 33th place within the 50 best hotels on this planet in 2024, also offers pet beds and bowls, said an agent CNBC Travel.

You can ask for a bottle of Evian or San Pellegrino on the three-Michelin-starred Zen Restaurant in Singapore.

But you won't get one.

The restaurant, which charges nearly $500 per person for dinner, serves only water from Swedish company Nordaq, said chef Martin Öfner.

Dishes and drinks on the restaurant are also comprised of water, from the broths to the juices within the soft drinks, he said.

Zen is considered one of greater than 140 Michelin-starred restaurants that serves Nordaq water, company CEO Johanna Mattsson told CNBC Travel. The water, which is purified and bottled on-site using local tap water, can be available in greater than 700 luxury hotels, casinos and cruise ships, she said.

The company's goal is to scale back the variety of single-use water bottles within the hospitality industry – each the low cost plastic variety often present in hotel rooms and European glass bottled mineral water served in upscale restaurants. The latter can travel 1000’s of kilometers from its source to the place of its final consumption.

“Transporting water over water makes no sense,” Mattsson said. “That’s what we want to eliminate.”

Nordaq's bottles are freed from plastic labels in order that they could be easily washed and reused, and so they have wide openings in order that they could be cleaned in regular dishwashers, she said.

In addition, the bottles are securely closed and date-stamped after refilling, Mattsson said.

Mandarin Oriental Singapore has had Nordaq's tap water system since 2023, with bottled water available within the hotel rooms, restaurants, spa and gym.

Hotel manager Cindy Kong let CNBC Travel tour her bottling facility to see how the bottles are washed, inspected, filled and sealed. She said the plant can produce 500 bottles of purified water in an hour.

“We normally process between 1,000 and 2,000 [bottles] every day,” she said.

Nordaq is considered one of many firms within the world-class sustainable water business. Castalie water is out there in greater than 700 hotels in France, in keeping with its website, while Purezza water is served in greater than 5,000 venues in 13 countries, in keeping with the corporate's LinkedIn page.

Indian hotel company ITC Hotels has developed its own brand of zero-mile water called SunyaAqua to scale back the quantity of single-use plastic bottles across its 140 hotels. “Every guilt-free sip is bottled in-house, so no transportation is required,” New Delhi-based ITC Maurya wrote on Facebook in July.

Catering establishments are the core marketplace for the Swiss sustainable water brand Be WTR. The company operates in hotels – with a facility opening soon in Rosewood Abu Dhabi – and thru centralized facilities.

In the latter case, Mike Hecker, founder and CEO of Be WTR, said water may return a bit further than the ITC Hotel's “zero mile” water, but not by much.

“We don't want to transport more than 10 kilometers around our bottling plant because, as you know, the carbon footprint is heavily influenced by transportation,” he told CNBC. “We try to be as close to the point of consumption as possible.”

The company's important operations are within the United Arab Emirates, but its water is sold in 12 countries, including recent expansions into Canada and China, Hecker said. The company closed a $44 million Series C funding round in October.

Be WTR signed a world agreement with Accor to turn out to be a preferred partner for the French hotel company's luxury hotel brands.

“We are the first company to aim for a global water agreement [Accor’s] Five star brands like Raffles and Pullman [and] Sofitel,” he said.

Less waste, higher profits

Companies that offer filtered water to the tourism and food industries with little to no transportation say they save tens of millions of plastic bottles from consumption every year. But they’ve one other selling point: They may make a profit for his or her customers.

Be WTR’s Hecker said its first bottling plant on the Westin Dubai Mina Seyahi “has saved over a million imported bottles per year. And that is a significant achievement, both in terms of… the carbon footprint, but also in terms of generating positive profits for our customer.”

Hecker wouldn't say how much a bottle of Be WTR costs, but said the worth was “competitive” in comparison with glass bottled mineral water from Europe.

According to Nordaq's Mattsson, each bottle of water costs between 11 and 21 cents to provide. But the water costs rather more. Provider Singapore sells Nordaq free-flow still and sparkling water for $2 per person, but some luxury hotels charge 4 times that price for a single bottle.

According to 1 company, Purezza estimates that every of its bottles costs about 30 cents to provide, or a couple of fifth of the worth of normal bottled water Sales brochure. But each could be sold for a similar price, the brochure says, estimating that 1,000 bottles of Purezza water sold for $5 a bottle could bring the vendor an annual profit of $13,200.

By DEE-ANN DURBIN

The Federal Trade Commission said Tuesday that it should soon require hotels, vacation rental platforms and live event organizers to accomplish that disclose any fees upfront when prices are listed.

“People deserve to know in advance what will be required of them, without fear of being hit with mysterious fees later that they did not plan for and cannot avoid,” the FTC Chairman said Lina Khan said in an announcement.

The regulation is attributable to come into force in 120 days.

Ticketmaster said Tuesday it supports the brand new rule.

“Ticketmaster has long advocated for flat pricing as the nationwide industry standard and we are pleased that the FTC is mandating the necessary changes to make ticket purchasing more transparent for fans,” the corporate said.

The Associated Press left a message looking for comment with the American Hotel and Lodging Association on Tuesday.

Four of the FTC's five commissioners voted to approve the rule. Commissioner Andrew Ferguson— who’s President-elect Donald Trump to interchange Khan was the one dissenting vote.

The regulation requires accommodation and ticketing corporations to obviously and conspicuously disclose actual costs – including all mandatory fees – when displaying prices. Companies that exclude taxes or shipping costs from advertised prices must also disclose these before customers enter payment information.

The FTC estimates that the rule will save U.S. consumers 53 million hours per 12 months trying to find actual prices for accommodations or events.

The FTC began the rulemaking process in 2022 and invited the general public to comment on whether a fee disclosure rule could help eliminate unfair and misleading pricing. The agency said greater than 12,000 people commented.

Junk fees and misleading prices are also considered one of the explanations behind this Justice Department sued Ticketmaster and its parent company Live Nation Entertainment earlier this 12 months. The government asked a court to separate the businesses, saying that they had a monopoly on concert promoting and ticket sales, driving up prices for consumers.

The Biden administration has also targeted the charging practices of US airlinesBanks and online payment platforms.

Massachusetts Governor Maura Healey announced On Friday, she made a series of major changes to the state's overwhelmed shelter system as her administration tries to become familiar with costs and space constraints exacerbated by the high cost of living in Massachusetts and the influx of migrants.

The administration will implement a two-track system for eligible families: one offering homeless and migrant families a 30-day stay in a shelter and the opposite a six-month stay. The state may even begin “phasing out” the usage of hotels and motels to accommodate families in need of shelter.

The protection system, expected to cost nearly $1.1 billion in fiscal 12 months 2025, has change into “increasingly unsustainable” in recent times, Healey said. Despite “significant action” and “tangible results,” the changes announced Friday are needed to contain costs and help more families find stable housing, she said.

“More must be done to ensure Massachusetts taxpayers do not continue to be responsible for this federal problem. The changes we are making will reduce costs, phase out the use of hotels and better meet the needs of all families,” Healey said in an announcement.

When the shelter system reached capability last 12 months, authorities arrange a series of emergency shelters across the state. In August, Healey introduced a brand new prioritization system for families, limiting stays on the overflow sites or “temporary recovery centers” to 5 days for those not prioritized. Now, families placed at these sites may have the choice to remain for 30 days under the two-track system.

Starting December 10, families applying for shelter might be “assessed based on risk and need” and assigned to either the Rapid Shelter Track or the Bridge Shelter Track. Families cannot choose from routes.

The Rapid Track is meant for families the state believes are well placed to quickly secure self-sufficient everlasting housing. You are offered 30 working days within the respite centers, although a certain extension is feasible.

The bridge route might be reserved for “high-risk families” and folks with “complex needs,” reminiscent of individuals with mental or developmental disabilities or women with late-term pregnancies. Those admitted on this direction are entitled to a six-month stay, subject to legislative approval.

In the spring, the legislature limited the length of stay for accommodation to nine months. The Healey administration now desires to lower that cap to 6 months.

“We want to make it clear to the families: We are looking for six [months] So no one feels like they don’t have the right expectations,” said Lieutenant Governor Kim Driscoll . “We believe six months is achievable. I assume that if people find an apartment sooner than six months, they will accept it.”

Driscoll chaired the Special Commission on Emergency Housing Assistance Programs, which issued a detailed report through the shelter system on Tuesday. Friday's announcement was made based on the recommendations set out in that report, the federal government said.

According to the info, almost half of the 7,115 families within the shelter system were staying in hotels and motels on Thursday Condition data. However, contracting with hotels has been the “most expensive accommodation model” and doesn’t provide a super environment for those looking for accommodation, officials said. Therefore, the usage of hotels might be slowly phased out in fiscal years 2025 and 2026. The administration didn’t provide detailed explanations of how it will occur, but said the approach might be based on “discussions with providers” and that families might be notified of advance payment.

The government says it is targeted on expanding current programs to assist more families exit the shelter system. The commission's report found an “extraordinary increase” in monthly emergency shelters last 12 months, from a low of 163 in September 2023 to a high of 475 last September. A vital tool to assist families secure their housing is HomeBASEa program that gives money to cover rent, moving costs, utilities and furniture.

State officials at the moment are proposing legislative changes to HomeBASE that might increase temporary rental subsidies. Currently, families are eligible for a complete of $30,000 over two years or $45,000 over three years. The proposed changes would allow families to secure $25,000 per 12 months in rental assistance for 2 years.

Demand for cruises stays strong – and it doesn’t look like slowing down any time soon.

The industry was the last to recuperate from the Covid pandemic but enjoyed strong pricing and booking momentum thereafter. While price growth is beginning to normalize somewhat, it continues to be well above the speed of inflation, said Patrick Scholes, travel and leisure analyst at Truist.

“Cruise companies are having a moment right now,” he said in an interview with CNBC.

Despite price increases, cruises are still cheaper than land-based accommodation. This helps the industry stand out while weaknesses creep into other areas of the travel sector. For example, on Wednesday, Hilton CEO Christopher Nassetta said through the company's quarterly earnings call that demand for leisure travel within the U.S. is “stagnating, perhaps even declining somewhat.”

“The continued strength of cruise industry bookings/demand, while cracks are forming across much of the rest of the travel market, is primarily due to the combination of the still significant discount on land travel coupled with relatively high levels of service,” the Barclays said analyst Brandt Montour in a note last week.

As of the second quarter, the three major cruise lines reported weighted average every day net revenue that was 17% above 2019, he wrote. Net revenue per day is the web revenue per passenger cruise day. Hotel room prices within the Caribbean are about 54% higher than in 2019 and resort prices within the U.S. are up 24%, Montour said, citing figures from data analytics firm STR.

“If it is true that the consumer is slowing down in other sectors, that is really a good sign that we can incorporate them into our demand profile because we will add value. We offer a better experience at a better price than they can get anywhere else,” he said in an interview with CNBC's “Money Movers” after reporting a third-quarter profit and revenue increase on Sept. 30.

The gap is bigger than it seems

A price difference between hotels and cruises is not new. That's largely because a large portion of hotel demand comes from business travel, while cruise demand comes entirely from leisure travelers, who are much more price sensitive, explained UBS leisure analyst Robin Farley.

But in recent years, this gap has become even larger than it seems, their research shows. That means cruise lines may have more room to grow, she said.

One reason, according to Farley, is the increase in direct bookings for cruises since 2019. This means that fewer commissions are paid out to travel agents, which are included in the gross daily rates but are netted out of the net daily rate line.

“Although the companies do not disclose it, we believe there has been a significant increase in direct bookings by passengers since 2019,” she wrote. “If the proportion of cruises booked directly grows by 5 to 10 [percentage points]We estimate this could result in an increase in reported net per diems of nearly 200 basis points, although this would not represent an increase in gross per diems or the actual ticket price.”

Separately, since 2019, all three major cruise lines have increased onboard pooled and pre-sold revenue, which can also be included of their per diem rates, Farley said. That could indicate one other 300 basis point gap between cruise and hotel price growth that doesn't show up within the metrics, she argued. One basis point is the same as 0.01%.

Farley sees one other potential shortfall of 350 basis points for Royal Caribbean attributable to its private island CocoCay, which has a water park, zip line and other attractions for which passengers pay additional costs.

Additionally, all three cruise lines have introduced high-speed internet access via Starlink on board, which could also lead to an increase in passenger revenue.

“The larger that gap, the greater the opportunity for cruise lines to improve,” Farley said in an interview with CNBC.

Every price increase now helps cruise operators. Truist's Scholes' proprietary research into actual bookings for next year shows the price to be in the mid to high single digits. Wall Street is only expecting growth of about 3%, but it could easily be 5% or more, he said.

This is important because the industry has extremely high fixed costs.

“An additional pricing factor is extremely important for profitability,” said Scholes. “Almost 90% goes to the bottom line.”

Invest in cruise stocks

Wall Street analysts are largely optimistic about the prospects for cruise lines.

“If we think about 10 years ago before Covid, these companies were competing with themselves,” Scholes said. Now they're competing with Orlando theme parks and Las Vegas vacations by offering passengers more attractions.

“They’re casting a much bigger net now,” he said.

Royal Caribbean was the first company to up the ante on a private island with CocoCay.

“This private island is a truly unique offering. It's not just a beautiful beach. It has all the amenities you can afford,” said UBS’s Farley, who rates the stock a “buy.”

The company's Icon of the Seas, which officially debuted in January, caused quite a stir as the world's largest cruise ship. Royal Caribbean's newest ship, Utopia of the Seas, set sail this summer. The fact that the latter offers three- and four-night weekend getaways shows that it is truly targeting first-time cruise passengers, Farley noted.

“They had so many home runs,” she said.

According to FactSet, Royal Caribbean has an average rating of “Overweight” among analysts covering the stock, but has a downside of about 1% from the average price target. The stock is already up almost 56% since the start of the year.

Carnival also has an average rating of “Overweight” among analysts covering the stock, up 12% from its average price target, according to FactSet.

During its third-quarter earnings report, the company reported record operating income and increased its estimate for adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization in 2024 due to strong demand and cost savings opportunities. Carnival also said cumulative advanced booked positions for full-year 2025 are above the previous record set in 2024 and prices are higher than last year.

Almost half of next year is fully booked – and that doesn't include the benefits of the new Celebration Key island, emphasized Farley. The island will be more similar to Royal Caribbean's CocoCay and will begin operations in July, she said.

“It’s a nice catalyst for Carnival,” she said. “A new goal emerges [and] This tends to generate new interest.

However, Scholes said his research showed that of the three major cruise lines, the Carnival brand faced the most price competition from private cruise operator MSC.

Carnival shares have underperformed the market, gaining about 13% year to date. In comparison, he S&P 500 is up about 22%.

Finally, according to FactSet, Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings has an average analyst rating of “Overweight” and about 4% upside potential from the average price target.

One of the companies that are Norwegian bullish is Citi, which upgraded the stock from Neutral to Buy on October 9th. The call sent shares up 11% on the day. The company also raised its price target to $30 from $20, suggesting an upside of 29% from Thursday's close.

“NCLH's shift in strategy gives us confidence that its significant pricing opportunity won’t be worn out by runaway costs,” analyst James Hardiman wrote in an Oct. 9 note.

STONE MOUNTAIN, Ga. – As principal of Dunaire Elementary School, Sean Deas has seen firsthand the difficulties children face in long-stay hotels. About 10% of the scholars at his school east of Atlanta live in such a college.

The children, Deas said, were often exposed to violence on hotel property, showed aggression or fear because they lived in a crowded single room, and faced food insecurity because some hotel rooms didn’t have kitchens.

“Social trauma is the biggest challenge” when students first arrive, Deas said. “We hear a lot about sleep issues.” To meet students' needs, Deas developed a schoolwide program with counselors, a food pantry and special protocols for coping with individuals who might go to sleep in school.

“Beyond the classroom, there is a social part,” he said. “We have to find ways to support the families too.”

For low-income families on the lookout for housing, extended-stay hotels are sometimes a final resort. According to the Education Department, greater than 100,000 students nationwide lived in extended-stay hotels in 2022, although officials say that is probably going an undercount. Children living in hotels are considered homeless under federal law, and in some Atlanta-area counties, about 40% of homeless students live in such shelters, based on local officials.

And with rising rents and evictions, in addition to limited access to public housing, the usage of extended-stay hotels is becoming more common as a long-term option. Like other types of homelessness, living in hotels can result in or worsen physical and mental health problems in children, say family advocates and researchers who study homelessness.

In the Atlanta area, inspections of extended-stay hotels have uncovered ventilation problems, insect infestations, mold and other health risks. Children living there may additionally experience or witness crime and gun violence. The increasing use of extended-stay hotels is a warning sign, observers said, and reflects the dearth of sufficient reasonably priced housing policy within the United States

And the crisis has “lifelong consequences,” said Sarah Saadian of the National Low Income Housing Coalition. “The only way to truly address this shortage is for significant federal funding to be available at scale. Build more housing and close the gap between rents and wages.”

Evictions often force families to remain in hotels – and could be stranded there. “Many landlords refuse to rent to people whose credit has been affected by evictions, even if the tenant is not responsible for the eviction,” said Joy Monroe, founder and CEO of the Single Parent Alliance & Resource Center, or SPARC, a nonprofit Group within the Atlanta metro area that has helped a whole lot of families move from hotels to apartments or rental homes.

Advocates say black women and other women of color, often with children, are way more prone to be kicked out and more prone to should stay in long-stay hotels.

Some residents are also families fleeing domestic violence, they are saying.

Hotels often require no deposits, application fees or background checks, providing immediate relief for families looking for accommodation. While there are higher-priced options, the typical price for an extended-stay economy class room was $56.68 per night in the primary three months of 2024, based on Highland Group, a research firm that focuses on the Hotel sector focused – what works at greater than $1,700 per thirty days.

And while the rooms offer protection from other types of homelessness — like sleeping in a automotive or in a tent — a hotel is “not a place to raise children,” Michael Bryant, CEO of the New Life Community Alliance, told families in South Dekalb helps, a part of the Atlanta metropolitan area, move from hotels to apartments.

Children living in hotels are sometimes behind on their vaccinations and will find yourself within the emergency room due to delays in care, said Gary Kirkilas, a pediatrician in Phoenix who helps children, teens and families who’re currently homeless or from are vulnerable to homelessness. About 75% of the unstable children he sees have not less than one developmental delay, and others have significant emotional and behavioral problems.

Tanazia Scott, who has been shuttling between two extended-stay hotels for several months, said her three children are “depressed and upset” about hotel life.

An eviction left Kassandra Norman, 58, and her two daughters on a months-long trip to Atlanta-area hotels. They slept in a automotive outside a supermarket for 3 months. “It’s hard to do homework in the car and in the hotel,” said 19-year-old Kazuri Taylor, Norman’s younger daughter.

Some hotels are banning children from playing outside of their parking lots, causing additional stress, advocates say. That's why Yvonne Thomas, 45, and her family were evicted from an extended-stay hotel in DeKalb County. She said, “They kicked us out for nothing.”

And there are other problems. More than a dozen students at Dunaire Elementary are staying at an extended-stay property called the Haven Hotel. In August, the DeKalb County Division of Code Enforcement said the hotel “failed to meet minimum life safety standards.” According to reports from the State Health Inspectorate, cockroaches and spiders live in rooms and passageways. Residents say they were charged $1 for a roll of bathroom paper.

The hotel's owner and manager couldn’t be reached for comment after several attempts.

“Nobody talks about these families,” said Sue Sullivan, a community advocate and volunteer with the Motel to Home coalition in Atlanta, who brings toys, book bags, food and toiletries on her hotel visits.

A health inspection in February at one other DeKalb County hotel found several rooms with poor ventilation, insect infestation and mold, amongst other things. Two people were fatally shot there in May.

Children who experience violence can develop anxiety, depression and other disorders, said Charles Moore, director of the Urban Health Initiative at Emory University School of Medicine. “You can feel emotional aftershocks,” said Moore, who has visited Atlanta-area hotels.

But closing such hotels can harm families given the dearth of reasonably priced housing, the dearth of national federal tenant protections and the dearth of outing options, said Terri Lewinson, an associate professor on the Dartmouth Institute for Health Policy and Clinical Practice. Extended-stay hotels “provide an accessible option for families who have no other choice,” she said.

To alleviate the housing problem, county officials and nonprofits across the country have creatively filled the gap. In the Seattle area, for instance, officials bought King County hotels and converted them into reasonably priced housing, said Mark Skinner of the Highland Group.

In the Atlanta area, SPARC and the local United Way Motel to Home offer financing to assist people transition into housing.

In DeKalb County, where Dunaire Elementary School is situated, greater than a 3rd of the 1,300 homeless students live in hotels, based on Commissioner Ted Terry.

“I hope we can save the children,” he said. “It’s not a safe environment for them.”

Advocates who need to help hotel residents suggest constructing more cost-effective housing and stronger protections for renters from evictions. The federal government has No investment was made in repairs This is crucial to keep up existing social housing, and 25-year-old laws effectively prohibits the development of recent social housing.

Plus, it's “extremely quick, easy and cheap” to evict tenants in Georgia, said Taylor Shelton, an associate professor of geosciences at Georgia State University whose research focuses on social inequalities and concrete spaces. “The playing field is heavily tilted towards landlords.”

Under such circumstances, it's difficult to interrupt the cycle of poverty, said Jamie Rush, a senior attorney on the Southern Poverty Law Center. “Most parents want their children to have a safe, stable home,” Rush said. “You can’t budget your way out of poverty.”

MONTEREY – Four Monterey County hotels have been named Conde Nast Traveler Top 20 Hotels in Northern California on the 2024 Readers' Choice Awards.

The average of those evaluations determines the ultimate grade.

Blade began operating on-demand helicopter services to New York-area airports in 2019, several months before Uber Copter. At the time, a seat on Blade's airport transportation service cost $195.
