CAMPBELL – A 34-year-old Campbell man was arrested after a hit-and-run while under the influence on Nov. 27, in accordance with a news release from the Campbell Police Department.

The accident occurred when the suspect drove his Toyota right into a vehicle that was stopped at a red light near Winchester Boulevard and Camden Avenue, police said. The suspect fled the scene.

According to jail records, police arrested Gutierrez in Hayward at 9:59 p.m. He was booked into the Santa Rita Jail Monday morning on charges of hit-and-run and driving under the influence with bodily injury.

His arraignment is scheduled for 9 a.m. Wednesday morning in Section 702. He is being held on $125,000 bail.
