BRISBANE – Police arrested a girl at a hotel on Wednesday after receiving a call that she was attacking her daughter with a machete, a news release said.

Brisbane Police received a call on Wednesday that a 13-year-old girl was being attacked by her mother with a machete on the Hilton Homewood Suites at 2000 Shoreline Ct. Officers arrived on the hotel room but received no response after they knocked. After several attempts to get someone to reply, officers from Brisbane Police and other neighboring agencies forced their way into the room.

Six children were present in the room, including the 13-year-old girl. The suspect refused to depart a second room where three more children were, police said. Authorities requested negotiators and extra resources to get the suspect to depart the room and check on the opposite three children.

The woman left the hotel room and was arrested a while later. The three children within the room were found unharmed and sleeping. After the suspect was arrested, the girl was examined by paramedics and located with a small cut that didn’t require medical attention. Another member of the family was called to look after all nine children, police said.

The 42-year-old woman was booked into Maguire Correctional Facility without bail on suspicion of inflicting bodily injury on a toddler, attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon and false imprisonment. She was also suspected of petty theft and bail was set at $5,000. She was scheduled to look in court Thursday at 1:30 p.m.

The Los Angeles Lakers unveiled a second statue of Kobe Bryant, which can be dedicated to his daughter Gianna.

But what was planned as a fun adventure took a disastrous turn when she lost her footing on the rope system that leads from the trail to the summit and fell about 60 meters down the mountain.

Officials told her father that she probably died immediately.

“She lived every moment of her life to the fullest,” said Jonathan Rohloff. “People called her Superwoman and that's exactly what she was. She was incredible and when she set her mind to something, there was no one to tell her not to do it or stop her from doing it.”

The death of the 20-year-old, first reported by SFGATE, has raised renewed concerns in regards to the safety of hikes up Half Dome, where at the very least 10 people have died within the last decade. In a series of articles on threads — not her father’s social platform — and in an interview with NBC NewsVivian Jenna Wilson, 20, made a series of heartbreaking claims concerning the powerful technology entrepreneur and father of 12 who says he loves children and sees it as his mission to assist repopulate the Earth.

“Sure, Jan,” Wilson said sarcastically on Threads in response to Musk's refusal to just accept her identity. She identified that she is “legally recognized as a woman in the state of California and I don't care about the opinions of those beneath me.”

Wilson is referring to her decision to use to the court for an official name change and to be recognized as a lady when she turned 18. Wilson had also asked in her application to “no longer be related to her father in any way.”

Wilson told NBC that Musk was not “tricked” into giving consent to her gender reassignment surgery. She said he knew what he was doing when he signed his consent after initial hesitation.
